• Obsidian Fire » Its ability, Intent, has the user pointing the dagger at either an object or person —— though it can only be targeted at one point at a time. When a focus of intent is identified, a thread of mana forms in a second, leading a straight path to the target. The dagger will charge itself and its user with an electrifying field, then "pulls" the user at great speeds towards the target, leaving a crack of electricity in its trail, making the user look much like a lightning bolt. This ability's flaw is that once a path is forged, the user cannot deviate from it —— they can only stop before they reach it. So if there is a sudden line of fire or the target gets out of the way quickly enough, they will not be able to change their path and follow the target as they are launched toward the point.

• Moon Jelly » A dazzling little jellyfish spangled with starburst patterns; otherwise a monochrome creature of silver and white, matching the moon of Dianthe. Glows just a little at night. This variety is sometimes called the Mercy Jelly, since its sting is not painful, but numbing, and can be used on wounds. She often floats just out of her owner's reach, pretending to ignore him, but will come down to investigate if the food is good enough. She has a discerning palate, but has been known to filch fast food if not properly fed.
